Privacy Policy

SnapFrame is built and maintained by CoreLabz Technologies, based in Nairobi, Kenya. For privacy-related questions, contact us at privacy@corelabz.co.ke.

SnapFrame does not collect or store:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any account info
• Your photos or any image data on our servers
• Your device's location
• Your contacts, calendar, or messages
• Advertising IDs or any data used for ad targeting
• Browsing or app usage history beyond crash reports

We don't require you to create an account to use SnapFrame. You can open the app and use every feature anonymously.

The following data is processed entirely on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party:

• Camera and photo data: Photos you take with SnapFrameare saved to your device's gallery (with your permission). They are not uploaded to our servers.
• Background removal: When you use the background removal feature, the image is processed locally by on-device AI (Google ML Kit on Android, Apple Vision on iOS). The image does not leave your device.
• App preferences: Any settings you change (such as your default platform selection) are stored in your device's local storage.

SnapFrame only requests permissions essential to its core functionality:

• Camera: To take product photos. Required for the app to function.
• Photo library / Media storage: To save processed photos to your gallery. You will be prompted when this is first needed.

You can revoke any permission at any time through your device's settings. SnapFramewill continue to work for features that don't require the revoked permission.

SnapFrame uses the following third-party components. None of these receive your photos.

• Google ML Kit (Android): Used for on-device background removal. Image processing happens entirely on your device; no data is sent to Google by this feature.
• Apple Vision (iOS): Used for on-device background removal on iOS. Image processing happens entirely on your device.
• Expo (build framework): The framework used to build SnapFrame. Expo's services are not used at runtime to transmit user data.
• Google Play Services (Android only): May collect anonymous crash reports to help us fix bugs. This is governed by Google's privacy policy.

SnapFrame may automatically collect anonymous crash reports when the app crashes. These reports include technical information such as the device model, operating system version, and the code path that caused the crash. They do not include your photos, any personal identifiers, or the content of what you were doing.

Crash reports are used solely to fix bugs and improve app stability.

SnapFrame is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is intended for use by online sellers, vendors, and content creators.

Because we don't collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to retain or delete from a central database. Photos and app preferences stored on your device remain under your control. Uninstalling the app removes its local data from your device.

Even though we hold minimal data, you have the right to:

• Ask what data we hold about you (typically: none)
• Request deletion of any data we may hold
• Opt out of crash reports (via your device settings)
• Stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users via the app or our website before the change takes effect.
